Police have identified the man found dead on a boat last Saturday, anchored in the Inter Coastal Waterway.
The deceased is 59-year-old Daniel O. Barry, a white male, Daytona Beach Police say. The medical examiner said, Barry’s death was from natural causes and not storm related.
Barry was found lying over the railing on a boat about 150 yards from the Bethune Point boat dock. The boat, about 27 feet, was anchored in the Inter Coastal Waterway. He had injuries to his head and the boat appeared to be damaged, police said.
Police received a call on Saturday, around 11:00 a.m., from a boater passing by who observed the victim lying over the railing of the boat.
