Orlando Motorcyclist Killed by Car Making U-Turn

A man was killed when a car turned in front of his motorcycle on Saturday night in Orange County, troopers said.

The crash which occurred on Colonial Drive near Rouse Lake Road around 9:00 p.m., killed 35-year-old Bladimir Garcia Ramirez, of Orlando.

22-year-old Dustin Hunter, driving a 1998 Dodge Stratus eastbound, attempted to make a U-turn on a yellow traffic signal and traveled into the intersection. Ramirez, traveling westbound, hit the right side of the Dodge.

Ramirez, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Hunter suffered minor injuries.  A passenger in the Dodge, Tiffany Wells, 16, also suffered minor injuries, while two others, 35-year-old Rose Coon and 42-year-old Derrick Sales, were unhurt.

The accident is still under investigation and troopers said, charges are pending.
