A man, believed to be armed, held up a cashier a Publix supermarket in Tangerine on Monday night, Orange County deputies say.
Orange County deputies also say, the black male suspect entered the Publix supermarket at 6551 North Orange Blossom Trail just before 6:00 p.m., and passed a note to one of the cashiers. The suspect demanded money and implied he had a weapon.
The cashier handed over an unknown amount of cash to the man, who fled the supermarket. Investigators are not sure if the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle.
No one was hurt in the robbery.
Deputies are interviewing witnesses, as the investigation continues.
