CFE Federal Credit Union and Carl Black Chevrolet Buick GMC teamed up to present Chriss Celentano, a 3rd grade teacher at Castle Creek Elementary School, a check for $10,000 – the cash prize he selected instead of a 2013 bright green Chevy Spark. The presentation was made at Castle Creek Elementary, where Chriss and his wife Jennifer teach, and their two children attend school. Students from both of their classrooms were watching on the sidelines as Chriss was being presented with the offer to make his selection. All the students chimed in to give their input on the final decision for the $10,000 cash prize.
Also attending the event were Orange County School Board Member Joie Cadle, Orange County Public Schools East Area Executive Director John Wright, and Principal Seth Daub, along with Carl Black General Manger Omar Rodriguez and CFE Senior Vice President Kevin Dougherty.
CFE and Carl Black promoted their end of summer Rubber Meets the Road car sale and sweepstakes at the Orange County Public Schools Professional Development Conference, where Celentano entered his name into the drawing to win a 2013 Chevy Spark or $10,000. Teachers and administrators from the school district lined up to enter their names for a chance to win, and his name was drawn from over 5,000 entries.
During the four-day car sale, 54 cars were sold by Carl Black, totaling $1.1 million in new loans for CFE. Most importantly, many new car owners drove away happy with the great deals and loan rates they received during the car sale.
