Rivalry week comes early this year as Women’s Volleyball begins a week of games between arch rivals Dr. Phillips and Olympia. The Panthers head to Olympia tonight (Tuesday) for a 6:00 JV start followed by varsity at 7:30. Tomorrow afternoon, Men’s Golf hosts the Titans at Orange Tree at 3:30, 9th Grade and JV Football will host Olympia Thursday night and the week is capped off by the biggest game of them all, Varsity Football at Olympia Friday night at 7:30.
Dr. Phillips football started their year last Friday by beating visiting Apopka last Friday, 35-17. Senior quarterback Alton Meeks completed 14 of 23 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns and senior Eric Harrell finished the night with 84 yards rushing and three touchdowns, including a 55-yarder in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. Roderick Proctor finished with a career-high five receptions for 63 yards and Zach Autiello also made a career high four catches for 73 yards.
