Habitat Relocates to West Orlando

The Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando Area office has moved to 4116 Silver Star Road. When the build-out of office space is completed, the new location will have larger training and orientation rooms to accommodate the growing number of applicants and homeowners, plus more office space for future growth.

“We are excited about this move – we’ll have more room to provide homeownership training for our families and a larger assembly room to accommodate the growing number of applicants,” said Dee Danmeyer, president and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando Area.

The nonprofit is in the final stages of constructing Stag Horn Villas, a multifamily townhome community located off Silver Star Road in Pine Hills. Currently, 46 of the total 58 units have been completed. Habitat has also partnered with Orange County to help to lower the number of area home foreclosures by purchasing homes through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) and completing various improvements, such as A/C and appliance installation, roof repair and fixture replacements. To date, the nonprofit has purchased 20 homes in the Pine Hills area through NSP.
