On Wednesday, July 22, 2009, from 10:30 am until 12 pm, the City of Casselberry will host a Hurricane Preparedness Day Workshop presented by Channel 6 Chief meteorologist, Tom Sorrells, who will speak on how to prepare for this hurricane season. Hurricane preparedness starts with knowing when hurricane season is, how a hurricane develops, and how to stay updated on current conditions. Tom will be sharing with you the latest technologies and resources that will help keep you and your family safe.
Other community experts will be on hand to provide valuable information such as important tips on taking care of your health and medical needs during an emergency and expert advice on readying and securing your home and staying safe.
Being prepared can save lives and property during a disaster. Learn the critical actions the American Red Cross recommends you take to prepare. There will be refreshments, door prizes and giveaways at this free event.
