Police arrested a man just before 5:00 p.m., Friday in connection with a murder that took place in Orlando earlier this month.
27-year-old Jimmie Jackson was arrested in the 8500 block of Parkline Boulevard, off McCoy Road by OPD’s Fugitive Intel Unit.
Jackson is believed to have shot and killed Anthony Ward, 29, early on the morning of August 4, at the Governors Manor apartments at 2847 LB McLeod Road. Fire Rescue officers arrived at the location around 3:00 a.m., that morning to find Ward without any vital signs and with a gunshot wound.
Investigators have not said what might have led to the shooting or the circumstances surrounding the murder.
Jackson was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Orange County Jail.
