Bondi to Speak at Republican Convention

Attorney General Pam Bondi

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi will get a speaking role at the Republican National Convention, the party’s chairman announced Wednesday.

Bondi is one of several up-and-coming women in Republican politics given a speaking platform at the Aug. 27-30 convention in Tampa.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus also announced Wednesday two more Hispanic speakers to feature at the convention – reaching out to another group the GOP wants to woo in this election. Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz of Texas and Puerto Rico Gov. Luis Fortuño will get speaking roles, Priebus said. He also announced that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who survived a recall election, and Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens will speak at the convention.
