Teen Driver Hits, Kills Pedestrian on OBT

An 18-year-old female driver could face charges pending the outcome of an investigation, after she struck and killed a 56-year-old woman Tuesday night on Orange Blossom Trail, troopers said.

The accident happened near Whisper Lakes Boulevard, in Orange County, just before 10:00 p.m.

18-year-old Bianca Deoto, of Orlando, was driving north in the center lane on OBT when the unnamed woman was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of OBT or US 441.

Troopers said, the woman, who is from Wilton Manors, crossed into the path of the 2008 Nissa Xterra Deoto was driving, and was hit.

The woman was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Deoto was not hurt in the crash.

Troopers said, the investigation is ongoing and Deoto could face charges, depending on the outcome.
