Rick Singh, running to become Orange County’s next Property Appraiser, received the endorsement of the Central Florida AFL-CIO.
Over 45,000 working men and women, retirees and their families are represented by the Central Florida AFL-CIO and their union endorsement is a major milestone for Singh in his campaign.
“Rick’s commitment to the working families in Central Florida is clear. The Central Labor Council believes Rick is the best choice to appraise the homes of the working men and women of Orange County, Florida. We are looking forward to working to get him elected and working with him as Property Appraiser,” said Lorraine Tulliano, President of the Central Florida AFL-CIO Central Labor Council (CLC).
Singh is certified by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) as property appraiser with a combined 17 years of public and private experience, as well as a broker in the real estate industry.
“I’m very proud to earn the support of such a beacon of the working man and women,” Singh said.
He explained, “I was raised by a widowed working mom and understand the hard choices she had to make in her daily life. I look forward to their help and support in the months ahead as I work to restore fairness and acountability for property owners of Orange County. It is not enough to be a political figure in this serious office the property appraiser must be qualified to deal with the appraisal issues especially in these troubling economic times. As the next Orange County Property Appraiser I will implement my F.A.I.R. Plan to ensure that all homes and businesses are appraised fairly and equitably.”
Singh is running as a Democrat for Orange County Property Appraiser and will be on the ballot in Orange County’s November General Election.
