OCSO: Suspects in Cady Way Teens’ Murders Identified

Orange County homicide detectives have identified suspects in the horrific double murders of two teenagers near Cady Way Trail two weeks ago.

Jeremy Stewart (l) Nicholas Presha (r) - deceased

The burning bodies of 16-year-old Nicholas Presha and 18-year-old Jeremy Stewart, Winter Park High School students, were found by a passer-by in a desolate area of Cady Way Trail on April 15.

Since then, homicide detectives, forensics investigators and patrol units have worked round the clock to gather evidence and bring their killers to justice.

A statement from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office yesterday said, the investigation has progressed well, suspects have been identified and forensic results were being awaited that detectives believe will “prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Since Presha and Stewart were murdered there have been news reports that the pair were killed execution-style – the boys were bound and gagged then shot in the back, then their bodies were set on fire.

The released statement said, “detectives are in touch with both families and hope to bring closure to this case in the near future.”

The suspects are expected to be arrested imminently.

Check back later for more information.
