A Winter Haven ninth-grade student was arrested after she cut another student with a razor blade during class at Winter Haven High School.
16-year-old Rachel Cox, a white female, got into an argument with the male student in the classroom just after 8:00 a.m. on Monday, police said.
Cox, during the argument pulled a razor blade from her book bag and cut the victim two times on the arm, police also said.
Police found a total of eight razor blades in Cox’s book bag.
Cox was transported to the Polk County Juvenile Assessment Center. She was charged with aggravated battery and carrying a concealed weapon on school grounds.
The victim was taken to Winter Haven Hospital with minor injuries.
