OPD Drug Enforcement officers were in the area of OBT and Lee Rd attempting to stop a vehicle. During the stop a confrontation occurred with the driver of the vehicle and an OPD officer (s) discharged their weapon striking the driver. The driver was transported to ORMC in critical condition.
It should be noted that this is the 2nd OPD shooting involving black males this year.
