Troopers are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Volusia County that left the driver of a Nissan Altima dead on Sunday night.
27-year-old Hed ilberto Diaz-Pascacio died on US 17 near Citra Street in DeLeon Springs, after he lost control of his vehicle, which struck a power pole.
It is not clear whether speed was a factor in Diaz-Pascacio losing control of the Nissan Altima. He was traveling south on US 17, just before 9:00 p.m., when he was killed.
Diaz-Pascacio was pronounced dead on the scene in the Nissan.
Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation.
