Mike Cantone is Absolutely Serious

Mike Cantone wants to be Mayor of Orlando.

Mike Cantone - Orlando Mayoral Candidate

Not only that, he wants to invest in neighborhoods, small business and cultivate the diversity that comprises Orlando, The City Beautiful.

And, he’s serious.

Beloved by his supporters, Cantone seems to possess that very special something that Orlando Progressives have craved for over the years: an absolute, genuine sincerity.

He exudes it.

Candidate Cantone is the personification of what everyone in Orlando hopes for: A city with safe neighborhoods, nice parks, a sense of community.

Its already beautiful.

The people that choose to live in Orlando, yearn for a place where residents come first, instead of the big moneyed interests that have too long dominated Orlando, Orange County and, just for good measure, this entire state.

His candidacy comes as a 2nd knock to the door of this wannabe, world class city, ringing a bell for its residents and its future.

It is an affirmation that, yes, there is a progressive element in Orlando, yes, the Occupy Orlando kids are our kids who lack jobs and opportunity, and yes, we love this city too.

The other, unforgettably magnificent thing about the Cantone candidacy is what it also says no to.

NO, this is not Scott Randolph’s town, NO, we will not continue catering to corporate interests and NO, we will no longer surrender our community for big corporations with competing agendas.

Orlando Progressives need to hop aboard the M Train. It’s the only one out of the station. For the first time in years, there’s a real player in the game. He’s one of you.

Oh, back to the Mayor thing. Will he defeat Buddy Dyer? Definitely not. But just think, Mike Cantone wants to invest in neighborhoods, small business and cultivate the diversity that comprises Orlando.

Sounds like a winner to me.
