FHP: Motorcyclist Killed on Boggy Creek Road

 

A motorcyclist died early this morning, after being struck by a car on Boggy Creek Road in Osceola County, troopers said.

52-year-old Richard Roman, of Kissimmee, was heading westbound on a 2004 Honda motorcycle on Boggy Creek Road, when a 2002 Mitsubishi car traveling eastbound attempted to turn left onto Turnberry Boulevard.

Troopers said, the driver of the Mitsubishi, Andrew Murray, 32, of Orlando, turned into the direct path of Roman.   The front of the motorcycle struck the right side of the car.

Roman, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to Florida Hospital in Kissimmee, where he was pronounced dead.

Murray was not injured in the crash which ocurred just after 6:30 a.m.

Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
