A Polk County Sheriff’s Office employee was arrested on Monday night, charged with three counts of having sex with a minor.
33-year-old Lisa Goepferich, of Lakeland, is accused of having a 2-month-long relationship with a 17-year-old boy she met through a friend, investigators said.
Both Goepferich and the boy admitted to meeting in December 2011, and engaging in sex acts on three to five occasions. Both also admitted that Goepherich knew the victim was 17-year-old.
Goepferich was booked into the Polk Count Jail.
Goepferich who has been with PCSO since 1995, resigned immediately upon her arrest.
