NBA All-Star Official Tip Off Wednesday at Amway Center

The NBA, the Orlando Magic, the City of Orlando, and Sprint will officially tip-off NBA All-Star 2012 on Wednesday, Jan. 4 during a special event at the Amway Center.

Several Orlando Magic will be on-hand to celebrate the excitement surrounding the city as it prepares to host NBA All-Star 2012.

Magic players Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Jason Richardson, and Hedo Turkoglu will also officially tip off 2012 NBA All-Star Balloting presented by Sprint, unveil the ballot, and cast the first All-Star votes during the event.

NBA All-Star Balloting presented by Sprint allows fans to select their favorite players as starters for the 2012 NBA All-Star Game by voting on NBA.com and via mobile devices. The NBA All-Star ballot lists 120 players – 60 each from the Eastern and Western conferences – with 24 guards, 24 forwards, and 12 centers from each conference comprising the list.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Alex Martins, Orlando Magic Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Ewing, Orlando Magic Assistant Coach, Tim Considine, Sprint Director of Sports Marketing, Gail Hunter, NBA Senior Vice President, Events & Attractions and Orlando Magic Dance Team Members, are expected to be present for the tip off.
