Deputies Find Two Men Shot, Killed in Vehicle Early Saturday


Two Hispanic men were shot and killed early on Saturday morning and a third man was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of his wounds, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said.

The double homicide occurred in the 4000 block of Ponderosa Drive on Orange County’s east side,  just after 2:00 a.m.

Investigators arrived on the scene to discover a vehicle stopped in the street with its doors opened.  Inside were a 24-year-old and 47-year-old, both Hispanic men, dead.   A third victim, a 26-year-old white male, was also located and transported to hospital, but his condition is unknown.

Deputies cordoned off the area and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office CSI team arrived on the scene to begin gathering evidence.

Investigators are following up all leads to determine what activities the men were engaged in prior to the shooting and who might be responsible for the murders.

Deputies have not released the names of the victims, pending notification of next of kin.
