Deputies Continue Search for Missing Woman

Nicole Fields - missing

Deputies are still searching for a mother of two who has not been seen since last Thursday, after she attended a child custody hearing.

Nicole Fields, 26, was reported missing Thursday, when her mother notified law enforcement that she did not return from a scheduled court hearing at the Osceola County Courthouse. Fields’ court hearing involved custody with the child she has with her estranged boyfriend, Steven Louis, 28.   Throughout the day, Fields’ mother told detectives she attempted to contact her daughter by phone, after she failed to pick up her child from the babysitter, but without success.

Osceola County investigators traveled to the Florida Keys to locate Louis and found him driving Fields’ vehicle. Eventually, detectives were able to take him into custody when he crashed the vehicle, but not before Louis took them on a chase.

Louis is in hospital being treated for minor injuries, investigators said.  He will be returned to the Central Florida area, where investigators will continue to question him in connection with Fields’ disappearance.

Investigators received information that both Fields and Louis were spotted in the Ponciana area and could have spoken to an older man on the day she was reported missing, cfnews13.com reports.  They are appealing for this person to come forward.

Fields is described as a white female, approximately 5’4”, 150 lbs., with waist length blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at (407) 348-2222 or Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 dollars.
