President Barack Obama’s jobs plan, released earlier this month, would not change hiring plans of many small businesses, according to a survey released Tuesday, CNN Money reports.
About 70 percent of small businesses said, should the $447 billion stimulus plan pass the U.S. Congress, it would not spur them to create jobs, said Manta, a small business website.
Only 11 percent of the businesses polled said they would hire new workers if the jobs package becomes law. Another 13 percent said it depends on what version of the proposal is passed, while another 7 percent said they weren’t sure.
The survey was conducted with 1,648 small businesses.
