A man who attempted to rob a Deltona pharmacy with a handgun and a pillowcase to store prescription pills, left empty-handed, Sheriff’s deputies said.
The suspect entered the CVS Pharmacy at 2187 Howland Boulevard around 2:00 a.m., Tuesday, and demanded prescription drugs. The pharmacist told deputies, the suspect showed him a handgun in his waistband and then handed him a pillowcase and demanded that it be filled with various prescription drugs.
The pharmacist did as the man had ordered, but when he turned around to hand the suspect the pillowcase, the suspect fled the pharmacy.
Patrol and K-9 units, along with a Sheriff’s helicopter searched the area, but met with negative results.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 5’9″ tall, with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing black clothing, a white baseball cap and had something covering his face.
