A revamp of higher education, holding the line on taxes and reducing lawsuits are among the priorities for the upcoming legislative session for Gov. Rick Scott, the governor said Monday during a breakfast with business leaders in Flagler County.
Online news site FlaglerLive.com reported that the governor took questions on issues ranging from varying permitting requirements around the state to concerns about a proposed sea wall in the community.
A Flagler School Board member, Andy Dance, told Scott that if he is serious about looking into things that burden the locals, he could draw up a list of “unfunded mandates” for the governor that the local school district must comply with.
Scott suggested Dance draw up just such a list, FlaglerLive.com reported.
