Gov. Rick Scott received a list of policy suggestions from former Gov. Jeb Bush, according to e-mail documents obtained by the Associated Press.
In the documents, Bush pushes Scott to promote “education savings accounts,” which are similar to vouchers that can be used to pay for private schools, the AP reports.
“I am guessing lawyers inside Tallahassee will say it is not constitutional,” Bush wrote. “I don’t’ know how our court will respond but it will be a game changer for the country and you might have the chance to change the makeup of the court.”
Bush also suggested Scott sell Florida Virtual School, the AP reported.
“You could use the proceeds to fund a technology initiative that would lead the nation,” Bush wrote to Scott.
A similar set of suggestions was offered to former Gov. Charlie Crist, but Bush said Crist did not follow his suggestions, the AP reports.
