Over the next several years, new students entering the University of Central Florida (UCF) will have many more program options from which to choose, despite cuts to several in 2009.
UCF’s Board of Trustees approved the implementation of 22 more programs as part of the New Program Development Plan for 2010-2011 through 2013-2014.
Since July 2010, UCF has been installing bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs in the following fields:
- Conservation biology and engineering management
- Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and Research administration
- Doctoral degree program in Security Studies
- Bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies
- Doctoral degree in dental medicine- professional
While new programs have been introduced, four were cut in 2009. These included, cardiopulmonary sciences and radiologic sciences from the College of Health and Public Affairs program, and the College of Engineering and Computer Science’s engineering technology program.
