A single vehicle crash has resulted in the dealth of a passenger, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said, a 2005 Buick was traveling eastbound on Nova Park Road near Deer Park Road, just before 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday when the driver failed to negotiate a curve to the left, and drove off the roadway onto the shoulder. The vehicle struck a power pole with it right front.
21-year-old Jorge Andrew Salvat, of Kissimmee, was the driver of the vehicle. He suffered no injuries as a result of the crash.
20-year-old Matthew Stephen Kane, of Kissimmee, the front-seat passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt.
Troopers said, alcohol did not play a role in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation and troopers said, charges are pending.
