FHP: 9-Year-Old Twin Boy Dies After Beach Line Crash

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said that one of the victims of the single-vehicle crash which left several passengers seriously injured on Monday, has died.

9-year-old Antonio Fabian Cuesta, who was ejected from the vehicle, died at the Winnie Palmer hospital earlier today

Antonio’s twin brother, Alejandro, as did 21-year-old Evelyn Dolores Pineda, and 1-year-old Justin Taylor, also passengers in the vehicle, suffered series injuries as a result of the crash.

Troopers said, 42-year-old Maria D. Camacho Cot was driving a 2004 Chevy Envoy, eastbound on the SR 528 (Beach Line), around 4:40 pm, when she veered left and traveled onto the paved inside apron. Camacho Cot over-steered and traveled back into the inside lane, over-corrected again, causing the Chevy to rotate in a counter clockwise direction. The car overturned several times and landed on top of the guardrail.

Pineda, Alejandro and Antonio were ejected from the Chevy.

Camacho, the driver, suffered minor injuries from the crash. Two other passengers, 22-year-old Johnny V. Velazquez and 21-year-old Emilio Quinones also sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
