Orange County government is soon to establish a new Permitting Services Office, a one stop shop where customers will be able to acquire permits.
Mayor Teresa Jacobs will literally cut a red ribbon to open the County’s new Permitting Services Office on May 10, at the Orange County Administrator Center.
The one stop shop will give customers one central location where permits can be obtained, bringing to an end the numerous offices which had to be visited.
The Permitting Services Offices will feature a permitting advocate to oversee the process and a customer service team specifically trained to explain and facilitate county procedures, a statement from Jacobs’ office said.
Jacobs made enhanced efficiency of government services and the elimination of red tape, a signature issue of her electoral campaign.
