In just one week, more than 900 Orange County homeowners have applied for financial assistance under the Florida Hardest-Hit Fund (HHF), Florida Housing said on Monday.
As of April 22, some 957 applications were received from Orange County homeowners, the third highest number statewide since the program was launched on April 18, and after Broward and Miami-Dade Counties which topped out at 1,638 and at 1,027, respectively.
Applications received from troubled homeowners in the one week period for Seminole County were 373; Lake County, 231 and Osceola County, 223.
All applications are in various stages of completion and “all homeowners who fully complete and submit an application will undergo eligibility determination by HHF Advisor Agencies statewide,” Florida Housing said in a statement.
Troubled homeowners in all 67 counties in Florida could apply for financial assistance under the Hardest-Hit Fund, financed by a federal grant of more than $1 billion to the state.
Homeowners could apply using the official HHF website: www.FLHardestHitHelp.org.
To date, 9,439 homeowners have applied for assistance, statewide.
