A Winter Garden man died on the spot, after he was struck by the driver of a Chevy Tahoe on US 192, shortly after 12:30 am, on the Friday morning.
Troopers said, Leonard Butry, 31, of Winter Garden was attempting to cross US 192 at the intersection of Vista del Largo Boulevard, when he was hit by Ada Lopez-Hernandez, driving a 2010 Chevy Tahoe. FHP said, Butry was crossing from the south to the north, east of the intersection.
Lopez-Hernandez was unable to stop as she approached the Vista del Largo Boulevard intersection in Orange County and her vehicle struck Butry.
Butry was pronounced dead on the scene by a medical examiner.
Lopez-Hernandez, who is from Baymont, Puerto Rico, sustained no injuries as a result of the crash. Troopers have not released her age, pending confirmation.
FHP said, the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
