An Orange County Sheriff’s deputy opened fire on a man who they said, pointed a weapon in the direction of deputies outside a home on Park Spring Circle on Wednesday morning.
Investigators responded to 7430 Park Spring Circle, off S. Hiawassee Road, just before 11:00 am, after receiving a report that a man was threatening suicide.
Upon arriving at the home, deputies said the man pointed a weapon in their direction. One deputy then opened fire on the man, reports Cfnews 13.com.
The victim was taken to a local area hospital, in critical condition.
Investigators have not released the name of the victim.
