A Miramar mother of a teenager would like an apology from her daughter’s school, as she claims a teacher put tape over the girl’s mouth to keep her from talking.
Leah Freel said she is outraged that a teacher should tape, Jazlyn, her 13-year-old daughter’s mouth to keep her from talking and believes that it was a form of child abuse.
Jazlyn, who attends the Renaissance Middle School in Miramar, Florida, said, “I had to cough, so I took the first piece off, so she went into her desk and took another piece out, and put it on my mouth again”, reports dailymail.com.
Added Jazlyn, the teacher “told me to keep the tape on my mouth, and she told me that what happened in her classroom stayed in her classroom, and it was just a joke.”
Apparently, another student’s mouth was also taped. Both girls complained to the school administrator.
Jazlyn’s mother is demanding an apology from the school.
