A man wanted for an armed home invasion in Connecticut, barricaded himself inside a home on Orange County’s East side, Thursday morning, deputies said.
During the attempted arrest by U.S. Marshals and Orange County Sheriff’s deputies on Thursday around 11:40 a.m., the man was able to barricade himself inside a home at 1120 Rich Moor Circle, off north Goldenrod Road.
Deputies said, as a precaution, a number of homes in close proximity to the target home were evacuated.
The operation to arrest the subject is ongoing.
