The Florida Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the case over high speed rail on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
The court set arguments between lawyers for Senators Thad Altman, R-Viera and Arthenia Joyner, D-Tampa, who are seeking to force the state to accept federal high speed rail money, and for the governor, who has rejected it.
Lawyers for Gov. Rick Scott say the state doesn’t have to take the money, while lawyers for the senators say the state agreed to pursue the train and enshrined it in law.
