Orange County Bomb Squad detonated a hand grenade discovered in the 8000 block of Via Dellagio Way, in the Dr. Phillips area on Tuesday.
The suspicious device was reported by a man walking his dog, who found the old grenade partially hidden in a tire behind on Sand Lake Road, report wdbo.com.
Prior to detonating the device, the Bomb Squad evacuated and blocked off the area.
The explosion could be heard for miles throughout the area.
