Venezuela Hugo Chavez to vote against Summit declaration

President Hugo Chavez says he will oppose the declaration emerging from the Fifth Summit of the Americas, as a mark of protest against the United States.   Chavez says, while the Summit brings together all 34 members of the Organization of the American States, Cuba is not a participant and the U.S. strategy is to treat Latin America interests as subordinate to that of Washington.

Chavez says a new hemispheric group is needed instead, one that doesn’t give the United States such power.

  1. As an American citizen I’ve found myself realizing that many good people have been framed as evil. Our newspapers, news and extremists are some blameworthy of this confusion. We then ought to be fairminded and give people a chance. We could learn to listen to what they have to say for ourselves. Chavez may be one of those deserving our reconsidering. America ought to realize one thing, we also have not trusted Washington. We’ve been repeatedly robbed for years, no matter the administration, Republican or Democratic. If we parallel this fact, then Chavez’ accusations become incredibly believable. He just may be experiencing from the hands of the American gov’t, the very thing Americans are experiencing…unjust controls. Review the Venezuela Embassy website for their point of view.
