A 72-year-old Orlando woman died after she lost control of her vehicle which overturned into a pond.
Vera Duncan, 72, was traveling north on Alafaya Trail near Curry Ford Road on Tuesday afternoon, when her vehicle struck a culvert and overturned into a man-made pond, troopers said.
Duncan was removed from the vehicle and taken to Florida Hospital East, after four deputies, two firefighters and one trooper turned the vehicle over.
Duncan succumbed to her injuries, FHP said.
