Cities and Counties around Central Florida will be celebrating Week of the Family during the 6th Annual Week of the Family Celebration taking place October 25 through November 1, 2008.
This year, along with Orange County, cities in Brevard, Citrus, Hillsborough, Lake, Osceola, Pinellas, Polk, and Seminole Counties will be initiating or participating in Week of the Family Celebrations.
Orange County Government will conclude the week of festivities with a celebration at Blanchard Park on Saturday, November 1. The entire family can spend the day enjoying a carnival-type atmosphere as they participate in rides, games, wildlife, and entertainment.
Central Florida Families will perform service during the Week by contributing school supplies to needy children with the Tools for Schools service project benefitting “A Gift for Teaching.” Through service, parents can teach children the importance of giving back to their community.
