The School Board of Orange County agreed on Tuesday to dispose of its out-of-service computers, monitors and peripheral equipment for cash, which could amount to as much as $100,000.
As part of the District’s recycling contract, Creative Recycling Systems, whose bid proposal was approved, will pay Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) for each item disposed.
A statement from OCPS said, the contract will run for one year.
Founded in 1994, with facilities throughout Florida and the Southeast, Creative Recycling Systems is a national leader in the electronics recycling industry. Their state-of-the art processing system is located in Tampa.
