Bomb Squad Detonates Explosive Device on East Side

An explosive device was found at an east Orange County Walgreens on Monday and federal agents are still trying to determine who planted the bomb.

Around 5:30 pm, on Monday afternoon, the Orange County Sheriff’s office received a call regarding a strange looking package at a Walgreens on Aloma Avenue near Goldenrod Road.

Orange County’s bomb squad arrived on the scene, evacuated the store and parking lot and then detonated the device.  A big black mark and soot was left on the side wall of the pharmacy, reports wdbo.com.

The investigation continues to identify when and who placed the bomb at the Walgreens.
