A man who broke into his neighbor’s storage shed and stole washer and driver is in the Osceola County Jail, deputies said.
David Deliz-Ortiz, 38, was arrested last Thursday and charged with unoccupied burglary and grand theft.
A neighbor of Deliz-Ortiz who lives at 2255 Siesta Lane in Kissimmee, reported to deputies that his storage shed had been broken into and a washer and dryer were missing. Deputies who canvassed the neighborhood, spotted through an open door of a mobile home close by at 2262 Siesta Lane, a similar washer and dryer to the one reported stolen.
Deliz-Ortiz, the resident of the mobile home, told detectives he thought his neighbor’s property was abandoned, so he took the washer and drier.
Deliz-Ortiz was arrested and charged with unoccupied burglary and grand theft. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail and bond set at $2,000.
