The five teens who were found dead inside a Hialeah motel room on Monday have been identified and even though the investigation continues, detectives firmly believe that carbon monoxide poisoning was the killer.

The car they had driven, a red Kia Optima, was left running in the bottom-floor, single-car garage. The door to the interior stairway leading to the room on the second floor was opened slightly, allowing the odorless, deadly fumes to seep upstairs.

The car engine was still running when Hialeah police and firefighters arrived at the Presidente Motel, 1395 SE Eight Court on Monday afternoon.  Many speculate that the engine was left running, as the car engine had given the teens trouble, just before they took off for the hotel.

The teens have been identified as: Evans Charles, 19; Jonas Antenor 18; Peterson Nazon, 17; Jean Pierre Ferdinand, 16 and Juchen Martial, whose 19th birthday, the teens had gone to celebrate.
