The Orange County Tenant Based Rental Assistance (“TBRA”) program is a rental assistance program similar to the Section 8 Program for disabled and/or elderly individuals.
The Orange County Housing and Community Development Division is opening up its TBRA waitlist for 5 days from 12:01 a.m. on December 6, 2010 to 11:59 p.m. on December 10, 2010 for Orange County residents. This wait-list has not been opened up for several years!
Pre-applications must be filled out on the computer at www.ocfl.net/TBRA. This pre-application will be available ONLY during the time applications are being accepted. (Hand delivered or pre-applications will not be accepted).
When the application period closes, a computerized random lottery will be conducted to establish a waiting list of up to 250 eligible applications. Staff will contact all applicants to inform them of the status of their pre-application when the lottery has been completed.
