The Florida Republican Party (FRP) can run but they can’t hide: On Election Day, November 2nd, federal investigators, as part of a wide-ranging corruption probe by the FBI, IRS and U.S. Attorney’s Office, issued the Florida Republican Party with a subpoena seeking financial records, reports tampabay.com. The subpoena sought documents tied to big spending by top Republican higher-ups who used party-issued American Express cards indiscriminately.
But, for a change, the Florida Republican Party officials are quiet and not commenting on the federal inquiry or the subpoena.
The FBI, IRS, and U.S. Attorney’s Office have been looking into corruption and wrong-doing on the part of top Republican Party officials for the past several months.
