The crash in which Norman was involved happened on October 24, 2009, on SR 415 near Reed Ellis Road in Volusia County.

Kevin Hill, 45 years, had been in a previous crash and was laying conscious in the northbound lanes, when  Norman’s 2005 Ford Focus ran over him, Troopers said.   Norman failed to take evasive action to avoid Hill, despite being flagged down and warned by witnesses.

Troopers said that after the impact, Norman’s vehicle traveled approximately three miles before law enforcement stopped and detained her.

Norman was arrested on Monday night and booked into the Orange County Jail.  She has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash.  Bond has been set at $25,000.
