Troopers are investigating a deadly crash on Friday night on State Road 60, west of Peavine Road in Osceola County that claimed the life of a Boynton Beach man.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 2004 Chevy Aveo, driven by William Wilke, 26, of Boynton Beach was traveling eastbound on State Road 60 west of Peavine Road, around 8:17 pm on Friday night. Another vehicle, a 2004 Chrysler SUV, driven by Branden L. Alfieri, 21 years, of Boca Raton, was traveling westbound on State Road 60, west of Peavine.

The Chevy, for an unknown reason, traveled in a northeast direction, partially traveling into the westbound lane causing the front left of the vehicle to collide with the front left side of the Chrysler.  Wilke came to rest in the eastbound lane of State Road 60, facing south.  Wilke was pronounced dead on the spot.

Alfieri has several passengers with him. Dulce Estrada, 21, and Morgan T. Allen, 23, both of Boca Raton, suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Another passenger, Jarrett Ross Alfieri, 20, suffered minor injuries, as did Branden, the driver, who was taken to Raulerson Hospital.

A third vehicle, a 2010 Kenw semi, driven by Danny R. Frederick, 45, of Kentucky with passenger, Lydia B. Frederick, 42, also of Kentucky, traveling eastbound on State Road 60 behind Wilke’s Chevy collided with the rear of the car. They suffered no injuries as a result of the crash.
