Virginia “Ginni” Thomas left a bizarre phone message demanding an apology from Anita Hill — 19 years after her husband joined the Supreme Court despite Hill’s testimony that he sexually harassed her.
“I just wanted to reach across the airwaves and the years and ask you to consider something. I would love you to consider an apology sometime and some full explanation of why you did what you did with my husband,” the wife of Clarence Thomas said in the Saturday morning voice mail, first reported by ABC News.
“So give it some thought and certainly pray about this and come to understand why you did what you did. Okay have a good day.”
Hill, now a professor at Brandeis University said that there will be no apology for “testifying truthfully”.
