The New ‘Tea Party’ America: Let the House Burn Down

Firefighters stood by and watched as a home in Obion County, Tennessee burned to the ground.  Why?  Because the homeowner had not paid the annual fee of $75 for fire protection to the City of Fulton.

wpsdlocal6.com: The homeowner, Gene Cranick, said he offered to pay whatever it would take for firefighters to put out the flames, but was told it was too late.  They wouldn’t do anything to stop his house from burning.  The Cranicks had not paid–Gene Cranick said he forgot to pay.

The mayor said if homeowners don’t pay, they’re out of luck.
