Baby Daddy Charged With Murder

A seven-month-old baby died on Sunday after being abused in his home by his dad, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said.  The father has been charged with aggravated child abuse and pending the outcomes of the autopsy, these could be upgraded to first degree murder.

Investigators were called to a home at 3543 south Magnolia Avenue on Sunday around 8:00 pm, in connection with an injured seven-month-old infant, Triumph A. Skinner.

While details are sketchy, it is known that the baby was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital for surgery.

The infant’s mother indicated that the child was subjected to aggravated abuse.     Florida Department of Children and Families was called in and interviews were conducted with the child’s mother.

Detectives returned to the home with a search warrant and found Keith Skinner, 30 years, who was taken into custody.  He was charged with aggravated child abuse.

An autopsy on the child is being conducted today. Detectives said that pending the outcomes, charges for Keith Skinner could be upgraded to first degree murder.
